
Lois Childs O'Neal
Board President
Lois Childs-Oneal is employed as the Lead Family Service Coordinator/Certified Peer Support Specialist with Community Counseling’s (Region 7) System of Care Program which offers children and youth a non-traditional approach to Mental Health Counseling. In 2015, she became a CPSS, and is also trained as a Parent Caregiver, PSS Supervisor, a CPSSP/R, an Advanced Training-Peer Support Within The Criminal Justice System and a Forensic Peer Support Specialist. Lois also holds certifications from the Mississippi Leadership Academy and Personal Outcome Measures Interviews. Lois is a Certified Community Support Specialist and hold a B.S. Degree in Special Education from Mississippi State University. She enjoys working with children and youth helping them to understand that they can have a mental illness and still lead productive lives. Lois also enjoys working with women in recovery from substance use disorders helping them to understand that we can and do recover from substance use and abuse and can go on to lead exciting and productive lives. One of her favorite pastimes is working with women, children and families in our church and community to help build health communities.
My Story
