John W. White "Trey"

Trey White serves as a dedicated board member with a passion for recovery, community service, and empowering others to overcome adversity. He is a Certified Peer Support Specialist with a Bridger designation and currently works at Belmont Gardens Recovery Center in Vicksburg, Mississippi. Drawing from his own lived experience and his professional training, Trey has become a strong advocate for accessible recovery resources and mental health support across the state.

Trey has spoken at the Mississippi State Capitol and at medical conventions with hundreds of physicians and providers, sharing his personal story of resilience and the importance of peer support in treatment and recovery. He is also pursuing his bachelor’s degree in counseling, with plans to continue into a master’s program, furthering his ability to serve individuals and families impacted by addiction.

Outside of his professional work, Trey is deeply committed to his family as a husband, father, and grandfather, and he actively participates in the lives of his children. He is also a passionate endurance runner, currently training for the Houston Chevron Marathon as part of his ongoing journey of transformation, using his platform to raise awareness and funds for sober living initiatives.

Trey brings to the board a unique blend of lived experience, professional expertise, and heartfelt commitment to creating hope and opportunity for others.
